When Damien moved onto a remote property — raw, undeveloped land — on Salt Spring Island with his partner and young family, there was no grid connection. No infrastructure. Just the land and the need for power.
Out of that necessity, Damien developed an off-grid power system to fuel their basic needs. It worked. And over time, his skills became valued by neighbours and community members looking to develop their own power projects.
